Replacing Wood Boards in Walls with Plasterboard in Flat

can i remove the wood boards used for the walls in my apartment and replace them with Plasterboard without planning permission. this is not removing the wall frame just the boards.

so long as its not structural, and not a firewall then it should not be a problem
