Retaining wall in garden

by pogo16769 » Sun Jun 10, 2012 2:35 am

Hi there

I have a wall in my garden and I am looking to remove the steps and replace them with wood ones. The main wall is a retaining wall, with the step next to it. My question is can I remove the steps including the wall and replace them with wooden one without damage to the main wall. The footings for the main wall are deep down then the steps.

All help would be welcome.

I would be wary of removing the steps and wall. The angled wall with the railing might be ok to demolish but check with a local builder first.
Why not clad the wall and the steps with timber instead.
