Hopefully this fits in here as it is kind of window related and I can't see a more relevant section.
I'm looking at installing some roller shutters as an extra to the existing double glazing, I figure that an insulated roller shutter will provide insulation when closed and be beneficial regarding blocking light (soalr heat gain) and act as an extra security device.
I have managed to source some relatively cheap shutters and should be able to install myself (with the help of a friend) to keep the cost nice and low.
Anyone have experience of these? Good stories/horror stories?

This is the kind of thing, no external box and a colour that's sympathetic to the stonework.
