Sealing/finishing a stone wall
I live in a 19th C. Welsh stone cottage and following renovations, one of the outside walls is now inside. I have stripped off layers of lime wash and the stone and lime mortar are now a dull, pale grey. I want a finish that will seal the mortar and leave the stone dark grey and slightly shiny, as if wet. What should I use?
Re: Sealing/finishing a stone wall
A pva slolution,to seal the wall ,try on a stone outside first,if you want it really shiny then try a clear varnish.
