Shower cuts out

by mobile73 » Mon Apr 28, 2008 11:35 am

Hi

We have a Friedrich Grohe shower powered by a pump in the loft. This has previosuly worked fine, however recently it has started cutting out intermittently. It works fine at very cold temperatures and similarly at very hot temperatures, but when I try and put it at the inbetween warmth, it splutters and seems to cut out.

Would anybody know the likley cause of this. My plumber seems fairly blank and before I let him destroy my tiles etc to replace the shower want to be sure this is the problem.

Many thanks for any help.

Your plumber probably is fairly blank if he hasn't worked out that it's most probably the pump, the way that is piped and whether or not there are auto airvents fitted at the pump rather than the shower itself.

You are paying him to sort it out for you which you are wasting your money on if he can't. I suggest you get a second opinion.

Quotes should be free.

Cheers
