Shower Screen Seal Repair - What Can Be Used?

by lostgeordie » Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:23 pm

The shower screen over the bath is failing. The hinge and wall fitting are fine, but the glass has started to come away from the hinge mech. This is basically a metal channel that the glass fits into. It looks like it was sealed in but the seal has failed and the glass has started to pull away

Can this be repaired, is a 'special' sealant or would a good quality silicone seal do the job ?

Go to your local buildbase and ask for CT1 sealant. It comes in a range of colours, works in the wet and is a hundred times better than silicone. It is a very effective high grab adhesive as well as a sealant and really does work for pretty much everything.

Keeflester, thanks for that and I'll give the CT1 a go
