Smc Commodore 130-45

Does anyone know of a direct replacement for this pump? I think the bearings have gone on mine (well that's what it sounds like). The Wilo Gold pumps that are around seem to pump the opposite direction (clockwise?). My central heating pump circulates anti-clockwise. Can anyone help? Thanks.

That is a seriously old pump.....must be at least 30.

The Commodore was the domestic high head version in the SMC pumps range, and although I do not have the figures for it I reckon it was the equivalent of todays Grunfos 15/60.

Have not got Wilo Gold figures either, but it is probably the same.

Do not worry about rotation, if your old pump was on the flow pipe make sure the arrow stamped on the pump casting is pointing away from the boiler.
Or vice versa if you old pump was on the return.

Thanks JD.

I'll have to break out the piggy bank and go shopping.
