    TARMAC DRIVE

    Postby greengrass » Wed Oct 27, 2010 12:29 pm

I have a 6mm coated bitmac /tarmac on concrete drive and had the usuall caller wanting to re-lay new over old which I said is no good the old has to be burnt off.
He told me there is a new method seal old lay new over old.
Rubbish it will lift, that's why roadworks burn off the old.
Sor they use the auld method that's why.
    Who right him or me.
Me: Burn off old clear all loose coat with adhesive lay 6mm bitmac roll with wet roller, job done.

Him Seal off old lay new over old no adhesive and roll in.
