Tiling around the bath

by skeezer » Wed Feb 04, 2009 8:56 pm

Im about to tile around my kids bathroom. Do I need to fill the bath for tiling or only fill it when I come to sealing around the bath once the tiling is finished?

skeezer,
Fit spacers between the bath and your first row of tiles, once set you can then fill the bath and silicone bead the lower edge of the tiles.
end

good advice, you don't want to sit the tiles directly onto the bath owing to movement, especially if plastic bath on wooden floor. leave a slight gap.

only half fill bath when siliconing. allow to fully cure (i'd give it 48 hours to be on the safe side) before emptying and using bath.
