Tiling over vinyl tiles in the bathroom

This might be a stupid question but is it possible to tile over vinyl tiles which are stuck down and are hard to remove.I'll be using ceramic floor tiles.

ALBAR,

AS THE FLOOR IS TIMBER, LEAVE VINYL TILES IN PLACE AND OVERLAY WITH 12-18mm MARINE PLY AND THEN TILE.

THERE IS LOTS OF USEFUL ADVICE ALREADY POSTED ON METHOD AND MATERIALS TO USE TO ACHIEVE THIS.
