Timber framed house - internal wall removal

    Postby hondaheaven » Thu Mar 26, 2009 11:06 pm

We have just purchased a new house (10 years old) and are looking to remove the dividing wall from the kitchen and the dining room.

Slightly concerned now as appears more of a job than initially thought if just a stud wall!!

Can someone suggest the best method to perform this as I guess the removal of the wall will require a load bearing support to be fitted!

    hondaheaven,
Get a surveyor in to check the load bearing element and suggest how to achieve removal safely.
