Toilet Fills Very Slowly After Waterboard Turned Off Water

by Yashin » Tue May 19, 2009 10:10 pm

Apologies for the very long title!
Anyway the water board had to turn off the water the other day for a mains leak and now out toilet takes an absolute age to refil after flushing. You can hear water dripping into it but not refilling properly. It takes about 30 minutes before you can re-flush.

It is one of these modern two stage things so I haven't taken the top off to investigate (how do you do that anyway if it is connected to the flusher)

Would it have got an air block or something or does anyone have any knowledge, suggestions of what to do?

Many thanks in advance.

More than likely an air block but could also be grit or dirt in the pipe.
