There must be a vent or a durgo ?

Could be a faulty durgo or insufficient fall in waste pipe

Oh well shows my lack of knowledge ,now know what a durgo is,don't know where it is yet though,do I need a plumber or drains specialist, also as the house is only 5 years old would this be covered by the building guarantee because if the fall is wrong I can see this being a big job (no pun intended)

Describe the soil pipe - does the pipe go up and disappear in to loft or boxing ? the durgo could be directly behind the toilet pan, in the loft or may have been boxed in.

The durgo opens when there's a pressure build up - (toilet flushed) the durgo valve will open and draw air into the soil pipe to help flow.

If this is stuck in the closed position it will stop the toilet from flushing properly.
