Is there a simple fix for a plastic toilet siphon that has become very stiff to operate? I now have to push down very hard on the push-button before the toilet flushes - it used to be a very light press. I took the lid off the cistern and checked the actual operation below the button - same thing - you have to push really quite hard to get it to flush. Do I need a new siphon or is there something else I could try first?
