Toilet trouble

by nic86ola » Sun Apr 20, 2008 12:25 am

Hi,

Have noticed over past couple of days that when the toilet is flushed, a short while after a loud chugging noise is heard and the toliet shakes slightly. Any ideas what the problem could be? How to fix it?

Thanks!

Sounds like ablockage in your waste.

How do you recommend we rectify this problem? Is a plumer needed? Would it be an expensive job if so?

Is it the waste making the noise or the refilling process? Could be either and it's a different solution for each.

Cheers

An easy way to check for the answer to rosebery's question is to turn off your mains water then flush the toilet. If the noise doesn't occur it suggests the filling system. If noise still present then it's likely to be the waste.

Does anyone have any idea how to rectify the problem if due to the filling process? Is a plumber required? Thanks
