Turning off hotwater

by indexer » Mon Aug 25, 2008 10:55 am

I need to turn off the hot water to the kitchen taps, but I can't see how to do it, Is there a stop cock somewhere?

If you have a 'conventional' system that stores your domestic hot water in a hot water cylinder, you should find a stop valve located on the outlet from the cold water head tank to the cylinder. This tank will be positioned above the cylinder - usually in the attic. But if you have a combi boiler, you will need to switch the boiler off before isolating the pipe feeding water to that boiler.
