under unit lights

Postby prawnboy » Mon Feb 04, 2008 6:15 pm

Forgive my ignorance, but i am a novice at electrics.Could anyone tell me how to wire low voltage lights.I have just moved into a 10 year old house and above each kitchen unit is a cable from the light, there is also a cable under each unit which emerges from the top of the unit as well.I would like to fit lights above and below the units, but how do i wire them?I presume the previous occupant intended to do the same but never finished the job. I have a 2 way switch already fitted, with one switch taped up ,presumably as when it is switched on the cables above the units are live.
