Uneven light fitting buld brightness

Post by Harry75 » Tue Oct 23, 2007 11:05 pm

Hi, I just swopped two light fittings in my front room that run off one switch from standard ceiling roses to two luminaires. The first light had the three wires L,N and Earth. The second light fitting had two sets of wires. I treated these as a single wire, i.e two L went into one, two Neutral as one and two Earth as one. The lights switch on and off fine. However the fitting with the two sets of wires the bulbs are not as bright as the other fitting? Is this right? I assume not! As you can tell I'm no electrician!
