Ventilation for Flueless Gas Fire

by Arbies » Sun Mar 23, 2008 8:38 pm

Hi, was wondering if anyone could help... it's a follow on from a forum that I found on google and now I've registered I can't find it so apologies if I am repeating!

We had a balanced flue gas fire, the old ventilation air brick (about 6 feet up on an outside wall) was plastered over during redecoration and we have now purchased a flueless gas fire.

My query is this; Is it possible to turn the existing flue into the air vent meaning that the air vent will be situated directly behind the freestanding (flueless) gas stove?

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who is 100% sure about this. Thanks for taking the time!
