when to use beeding

by rnd » Mon Jul 16, 2007 10:54 am

hi all

can somebody advise me on when to use beeding. I only ask because i am about to skim over an archway , but the thing is do i need to beed around the top of the arch as this area will never be knocked about or hit with anything as its to high .

i understand you need to use beeding for around windows and doors for protection but my arch is so high it is highly unlikey to ever be damaged by anybody or anything , or is there more to it than this .

regards

richard

beeding is also put on to make the edge neat and tidy. plaster right up to it and wipe off excess on the corner. To make the beeding arch make lots of cuts right down the beeding evenly (not the strip down the middle). When you put beeding around the window make sure the corners where the two pieces meet are flush
