Where could the water be from?

My house is on a concrete slab. Have a leak right in the middle of the house. No plumbing in the area at all. Small spot of carpet wet in family room. What could it be?

without seeing it,is there a problem with the roof, or condensation.can you lift the carpet and see if its coming up from the concrete slab.hope this helps.
