Which direction to lay laminate floor

Post by Reluctant DIYer » Wed Oct 24, 2007 3:18 pm

I am going to lay laminate flooring in my hall which is roughly 6m by 2m widest, 1m narrowest. Door at each end, Door on each long side, stairs rising from middle. Light source is from short ends, boards run in lone with long side. Which is the best way to lay the new floor, across or along. :?:

you would usually lay the floor long ways as it has more of an inviting feel when you open the front door to others but if you want the hallway to feel bigger and wider you would lay it width ways hope this helps
