hi, am having trouble stripping some woodchip paper have tried a steamer but nothing happened, any tips

Hi yes it can be a bugger to get off , try wetting it before u use the steamer on it that will help and after its been soaking for a bit there is a tool that will put holes in it , hell i don't know whats called but its magic then use the steamer .
