Sand and Cement for Home Repairs and Maintenance – DIY Doctor Webinars

Sand and cement forms the basis of many jobs in both DIY and Construction, whether it's building a garden wall, creating a base for a shed, laying foundations or even laying bricks or blocks to build your own house.

It may seem like a fairly simple operation – you mix the sand with the cement (sometimes add some aggregate) and then add some water, mix it some more and then start your job. This may be okay for laying some patio slabs but when it comes to building a house, you have to make sure that your mix is strong enough to hold the house up.

To these ends, we have produced a webinar to explain all the different types of materials that go into mortar and cement mixes and which should be used in each situation.
