2nd en suite

Post by russellfl » Thu Aug 27, 2009 7:10 am

Hi,

I have recently purchased a 1970s bungalow which has a seperate bathroom and in one bedroom an en suite. Does anyone know if there is a limit to adding further en suites and would this affect my council tax banding if I added another one in a 2nd bedroom?

Cheers!

Hi

You can add as many e-suites as you like and it should not alter your council tax banding. (unlike adding bedrooms)

You will need to apply for Buildng Regulations as it will involve the extension of a controlled service (Drainage) and will also require mechanical venting.

Contact your L.A. Building Control for advice. They will also confirm the tax banding.

End
