500W Floodlights

by advocat » Sat May 03, 2008 9:36 pm

Hi

I've bought 6 x 500w floodlights that i want to place around the outside of my house. I was planning on taking a spur off in my loft but have been reading that the max for this is usually 1200w. Is this true and if so how do i accomodate the 3000w total i have

Thanks

3000W = 13.05 amp so just small enough for switched fused spur with that current draw really needs its own supply and sun glasses. I use one 70 watt mercury metal halide and that's too bright.
