A water feature pump to run off car battery

by samoff » Sat May 09, 2009 11:39 am

I'm putting a solar panel on my shed, which I'll be using to charge an old 12v car battery.
I want to run a water feature off it - just one of those things that dribbles out of the top of a rock - I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them.

Any ideas?

While we're at it, I'd quite like a remote control for it. If anyone knows of a good place to get that sort of stuff I'd be grateful.

12v pump

Hi,

You could maybe use a washer bottle pump from a car but it may be too noisy and not quite powerful enough. Older cars used 12v fuel pumps that were quiet and powerful, it might be worth looking on ebay for a fuel pump for an MGB or Triumph Stag or similar. Hope this helps.
