Advice on Type of Roof Terminal for Kitchen Extractor

by Resully » Tue Feb 20, 2018 5:36 pm

I think this is the most suitable forum for this post but, please point out if I'm wrong.

Some background info: We've had an extension built, but the kitchen has not been moved. Also there is a utility room next to the kitchen, and therefore the shortest route for the extractor ducting is horizontally to the utility room and then out through it's pitched roof (roughly 23 deg).

My question: Should I need to use a insulated roof terminal like this http://www.ubbink.co.uk/products/Roofing/Roof-vents-terminals/Universal/UB46-47-48.aspx? Or would a regular terminal (steel/plastic) be a better option?

If anyone could point me to any resources to help me figure this out, that would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
