Hi, I am currently investigating in order to refresh my driveway and i must confess i am getting a bit lost in between all of the options available ! So i have just a quick and (well not so for me) simple question: can anyone tell me the real difference in between Tarmac and Asphalt and what is best?
Hi vinho654, They are the same thing - bitumen mixed with crushed stones. Companies use both terms so suggest you enquire of your supplier to see how and if they differentiate. Regards S
Hi there There are lots of similarities between the 2 things but also some differences. Tarmac or tarmacadam is a blend of tar and aggregates, whereas asphalt is a blend of bitumen and aggregates. Asphalt is usually cheaper.
