Post by mikepaton » Thu Jan 24, 2008 10:21 pm

looking at constructing a 60 minute fire wall in attic between my house and neighbours. Can anyone point me in the right direction for regulations (in scotland) and how to construct info would be good.

Not much experience with the scottish building standards but would presume a 60 minute wall would suffice. This could be single skin block (but would not help the sound resistance flanking transmission) to a stud wall 100*50mm studs with 1 layer of 12.5mm plasterboard either side (some insulation would also help i.e. 100mm fibreglass)
