best method in removing tile adhesive from a wooden floor

by stu » Mon Aug 20, 2007 6:12 pm

having a nightmare trying to remove the old tile adhesive grout mixture
from the floor boards upstairs - unable to apply a liquid as this will come straight through the ceiling to the lounge directly below. I have removed all the tiles but unable to remove the adhesive left on the timber its taken 3 hours just to remove an area 100x100mm any ideas would be most welcome.
