Black and Decker A18E Overcharged Power Drill Battery

by Bagpuss12 » Mon Jan 04, 2016 1:19 pm

I have the above battery on my power drill which is 18v. I left it plugged in and forgot so it has overcharged and now won't charge up. Is there anyway to repair this or do I need to buy a new battery?

All rechargeable batteries have a shelf life and even regular charging and discharging will extend there life a battery left on charge for long periods will eventually fail. It is doubtful that you will be able to recovery your rechargeable battery so a replacement will be most likely your only option.
