I've just removed an old deck laid over an old concrete slab and now remember why I built a deck - the slab is unlevel and water pools in the middle (about an inch / inch and a half)
I'm planning to block pave but not wonder if I need to level the base before adding my sand. Will the water pool / wash away the sand below the blocks and cause slumping? If so. How can I level the base?
