I have made a box joint jig for my router table and it seems ok except 'Tear out'. Cutting slots when i pull jig back ready for each cut I get tear out of surface layer of the ply (1/2" ply with 3/8" straight router bit. Cutting the last slot of 5 caused loss complete of the pin next to it. Tried some scrap 1.5 x 1/4" pine batten and that was splinter tear(hanging on) both sides. Would post pic but can't seem to resize. It's a new cutter from set of four were cheap, or is it wrong type of straight cutter
