Broken hinge on a integrated fridge door

Postby David_B » Fri Oct 02, 2020 4:17 pm

A few days ago my tenant reported that the bottom hinge of her under counter integrated fridge had come away from the door, the two screws had fallen out, and it was not closing properly. I re-attached the hinge by replacing the two (very small) screws with bigger ones but while this is holding it together the seal of the fridge door is still not staying in place.

The only thing I can think if is to drill a third hole thru the middle part of the hinge and stick another screw in to hold it together more firmly, however I have no idea whether this will actually work or whether it's time to get a new fridge?

Any suggestions welcome.

The screw will fall out, and you can not guarantee you "fix" will work. It is time to get a new refrigerator
