by cheltthai » Mon Sep 10, 2007 5:44 pm

does anyone have the building regs details for a toilet in the bathroon of a new build hjouse. The architects drawings show the centre of the seat to be 360mm fron the wall but i thought it had to be 500mm. Can someone advise me

The only WC that complies with specific regualtions is the main WC on the entrance floor of the property. This must comply with part M of the building regualtions. 450mm is the minimum here, but if it is for another bathroom or en-suite there are no minimums.

Go to the planning portal, you can down load the building regulations - its Approved Document M you are looking for.
