Hi. I'm new here so be gentle! Our tiny 1830s terraced house has apparently had a room in the loft since it was built. The footprint of the room is actually quite large but it's 2 thirds eaves (1 each side) and a flat ceiling in the middle. There are small vertical stud walls about 3 feet in from where the roof meets the floor in the eaves which uses up space. Can I remove this wall or is there a for a reason? Thanks all.
Hi richardc The walls are probably there to support the centre span of the rafters. You need a structural surveyor to advise before you remove them. Regards S
