Can you Render Over Pebbledash?

Post by R1ngo » Wed Mar 06, 2019 3:30 pm

Good afternoon,
Can anyone advise if it is acceptable to render over (1930s) pebbledash with a lime/cement and sand mix? I read somewhere this may cause damp problems. Advice appreciated please. Thanks

The best bet i have seen is to wire mesh the walls & then render. Takes quite a bit more time, but really helps to stop any cracking. You can get this in stainless or plastic.
