Cant understand wiring on old light switch

I wanted to make a straight swap of an old light switch.
This is a 1 gang 1 way switch. I can't understand why it has 2 Comms slots and just a yellow into the L1 slot. See 2 pics.
My replacement switch only has 1 comm slot.
How should I wire up?
