Hi Can someone help please. I'm interested in a piece of land which has a certificate of lawfulness for an existing use of land for siting of one static caravan. Can anyone explain to me what this means in terms of living in a static caravan on the site.
This is a little tricky to define and can depend upon a number of things and the reason why the certificate was granted e.g. construction of property, redevelopment of existing property, length of time the caravan has been there etc…. There can also be time limits on the validity of the certificate.
Your best bet would be to have a look at the Planning Portal website: http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/ and also contact the local authority planning departement
