Combi-boiler problem

by DD » Wed May 06, 2009 11:19 pm

I have recently had installed an Ariston Genus combi-boiler. I have re-set the timer on the programmer (Horstmann) to switch on only at 7pm but the boiler is on when I get up at 7.30. Even when the programmer is set to OFF, rather than AUTO, the boiler still fires. It seems as if the default setting for the morning is still operating. Is this a programmer or a boiler fault and how can I remedy this?

"I have recently had installed an Ariston Genus combi-boiler"

So get the installer back as he obviously hasn't shown you how to drive it properly. If it is a fault then theres a warranty issue. Get him to sort it - its what you paid him for.

Cheers
