Cooker switch neon light

Post by mikescho » Sat Sep 06, 2008 5:49 pm

I have just replaced my cooker switchwith a new 20A D.P.Switch and wired it up the same as the old one as far as I can see. However, the neon light stays on when the switch is off. Is this a feature of new ones or if not can you suggest what the problem might be?
Thank you.

If in and out are swapped it would cause the neon to stay on.
20 Amp seems a little low for a cooker are you sure it is for a cooker?
