Cupboards and Boilers

by Paul2463 » Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:48 am

Hello

I dont know if this is in the correct forum as it is regulation / safety based as opposed to direct central heating problems.

I have a glowworm 30SXI boiler mounted on the wall in my utility room. I would like to mount some cupboards on the wall next to the boiler, I was not going to mount the cupboard directly up against the boiler, but is there a regulation gap that must be left for safety reasons?

thanks in advance

@ Paul2463

Download the manufacturer's instructions if you don't already have a copy and look at what clearances they recommend, there isn't a regulation distance.

maunfactures will tell u clearances around boiler required, also take into consideration if the boiler needs to be serviced/maintained can access be gained! common mistake by kitchen fitters.
