cutting ceramic sink pedestal.

Post by mikjayfay » Sun Jan 27, 2008 12:15 pm

not strictly a tiling problem, but i am fitting the bathroom and tiling.
i am fitting the sink and i have found that a pipe is slightly out of place and the semi pedestal for the sink will not quite fit by about 1/2 inch.

i cannot move the pipe without major upset, so, my question for the experts is.. is it possible to use a tile cutter to trim a small piece off the pedestal? this will be out of sight so will not spoil the look of the bathroom.
