I've got a damaged garden wall that got battered with the recent snow and caused some cracking and peeling. It's an old London wall but the facework would have been done about five years ago. I think it's mortar on top of brick? Can anyone recommend the best aproach?
Hi harrystockwell You probably have water entering the top of the wall, it needs a capping or coping stone to stop this happening. Scrape off the damaged area and leave to dry - it may take a month of dry weather especially if it’s a north facing wall. Repair the wall and repaint it, use a breathable paint if you can find one.
