Digital Shower Processor

by southenddave » Mon Nov 26, 2007 9:43 am

Hi,

I am trying to find a sparky to come round and wire in a 3 amp digital shower processor and would like to cut the channel into the wall for the wires and swicth before he comes. Is it likely to be wired in to the ring main or the lighting circuit? That way I know whether to cut up or down the bathroom wall.
All advice greatfully recieved.
Ta,
Dave

He will not use the wiring circuit. The shower will need a fused isolator switch located out of reach in a cupboard or outside the bathroom.

Does it then go straight to the consumer unit?

No, unless that is convenient. The usual is to spur off a ring main although it may be possible to use the immersion circuit.
