Door Height Not Enough to get Settee in?

My wife bought a settee 221cm long. We we live in a 1st floor flat, goes up the stairs ok but won't go through the door. If we had another 6" of room above the door it would.

What sort of job would this be?

Extremely difficult, have you thought about getting it in through the window? That could be easier.
