Double Garage foundation help

Post by ian hutchinson » Thu Aug 02, 2007 8:44 pm

I am building a double garage out of block work. The garage does not need planning has it will be 3m high. It will be built on sandy soil near a number of large conifers approximately 1.5 m away. Can anyone please advise how deep the foundations may need to be, concrete depth and hardcore depth.

Many thanks

Ian

May not need planning permission but it might need to be approved to building regulations. Please check with your local council, building control dept. Also see our project on foundations as there is no difference between house foundations and garage foundations.
