Driveway

by Keith 101 » Tue May 15, 2007 4:54 am

I intend to have a block paved driveway layed at the front of the house approx 43m2. is it better to have it layed on a BS RMC C30 concrete base as one of the quotes i received recommended. And is it better to use 60mm or is 50mm blocks ok.
Also should i use metal Aco drainage channels or is plastic ok.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

We have never had a problem with 50mm blocks if they are laid properly. See our project on block paving via the projects link above and our personal preference is for metal drainage although we have laid plastic and have received no negative feedback.
