I have beech worktops in my kitchen which were fitted a year ago, I thought I would give them another oiling with tung oil (the original oil used) and they have really lost their lustre. The worktops now look quite dull with no sheen and the water doesn't seem to bead as well. I have given it about 4-5 coatings as I thought perhaps one wasn't enough, do you have any tips as to why this may have happened and what I can do to rectify the problem as they don't look so nice now. I wish I hadn't oiled them now!
